“There once was a lit’rary miss;
And all that she needed for bliss
Was some ink and a pen,
Reams of paper, and then--
Thirty days to describe half a kiss.”
—Oliver Marble

Professor Mark Lewis
Head of English Department

The University of Alandria is pleased to have esteemed author Mark Lewis call our campus home! Mark currently serves as the head of our English Department and is on hand to answer any of your questions.

With a number of published works, many on the subject of Social Order, Mark has hands on experience in the writing and publishing industry. This is a great bonus to offer students as he has both traditionally published as well as self published his work.

Professor Lewis is also the faculty advisor for our newest student led organization! Alternative Semester Break is an outreach program right here on campus! Check our ASB page for more information.

“To write a good letter, take a handful of grit, A plenty of time and a little of wit; Take patience to “set” it, and stir it all up—With the ladle of energy. Then fill a cup—With kind thoughts and helpful thoughts, merry thoughts too. With bright words, and wise words, and words strong and true. Mic all these together, and then add for spice—Some good news, some funny news, all news that’s nice. Then seal with a love kiss and stamp it with care; Direct to your friend’s heart, and presto! ‘Tis there.”
—Amos Russel Wells
